What is Gangster Bros?

Gangster Bros is an insane and chaotic arcade game implementing the crazy combination of Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. Imagine running around levels while shooting down enemies with all kinds of weapons, picking up power-ups, or dodging obstacles. That is all just the tip of the iceberg; Gangster Bros also contains an advanced level editor where you can create your own levels, share them with friends, or just import someone else's work to play on. The game becomes better with every update, adding new features with polish so that players keep coming back for more.

How to Play

The controls are simple yet effective. Use arrow keys to move left or right, the up arrow key to jump, and the spacebar to shoot. The goal is to clear the level by defeating all of the enemies present and reaching the exit. You can collect power-ups, such as extra health, ammo, or speed boosts, to give you an advantage. If you are so inclined, the editor allows you to build your creation by placing enemies, obstacles, and traps wherever you choose. Select "export" to get a random save code that you can share, or select "import" to load a level that you've created or picked up from someone else.

Tips & Tricks

• Jump and Shoot: With the update, jumping and shooting at the same time is now possible! Use it to your advantage and take out enemies from above.
• Larger Shooting Radius: Now with a bigger shooting radius, be sure to aim at the headshot for better ammo conservation.
• Health and Ammo: There's now a bigger drop rate when it comes to health and ammo from enemies. Keep an eye out.
• Wall Shooting: Enemies can no longer shoot through walls, so use this to corner them.
• Custom Levels: Create your own levels to challenge your friends or share with the alt community.

Gangster Bros began as a passion project of a small indie team, linking old and classical gaming mechanisms with modern creativity. With the game eventually reaching a loyal fanbase thanks to its fun gameplay and level editor that allows the players to be creators as much as they are players, Version 1.1 introduced impactful changes like jumping and shooting simultaneously, increasing the shooting radius, good hit detection, and much more fun.
