Enter the world of Jurassic Park: The Lost World, an adventurous journey through time! A brainchild of Appaloosa Interactive and published for the Sega Genesis by Sega, the game was based on the second film adaptation. It was released at the very end of the console's production life, on September 16, 1997. Players will be dropped on Isla Sorna to capture dinosaurs and foil rival hunters in this ever-changing bird's-eye view game.
The simple yet stirring mission: Capture dinosaurs on Isla Sorna, preventing rival hunters from taking them off to the mainland. The game is split into four major areas, Sites One through Four, each with a different set of challenges and boss levels. You will have to fight against the rival hunters as well as dinosaurs using tasers, tranquilizer guns, shotguns, and grenades. Some of the missions will allow you to drive vehicles such as SUVs and even hovercrafts to be able to maneuver better on the island.
Jurassic Park: The Lost World is based on the film by the same name, which is an adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel. This game denotes a complete departure from earlier Jurassic Park games for Genesis and adopts a bird's-eye view similar to the Super NES version. The game was introduced when new game releases were dying out for the Sega Genesis, thus proving a worthy set for the fans of the franchise.
